Biocide 7000 is a broad spectrum liquid microbiocide for use in a variety of water treatment applications, including open and closed recirculating cooling systems, paper mills, air washers and non-potable water storage. Biocide 7000 causes immediate inhibition of growth on coming in contact with micro-organisms.
It controls a wide variety of algae, bacteria and fungi found in industrial water systems. Effective control of such a wide variety of micro-organisms is achieved at low concentrations, which makes Biocide 7000 is an extremely cost-effective treatment.
Application
Biocide 7000 readily penetrates the surface of adhering biofilms and its biocidal action prevents micro-organisms from forming the sticky materials which are necessary to form biofilms in the first place. Thus Biocide 7000 is extremely effective against biofilm formation and at biofilm removal.
Biocide 7000 is stable over the wide range of conditions found in industrial water applications. It is stable in the presence of 1ppm free chlorine and its stability compared with many other biocides at different levels of pH, temperature and total water hardness is excellent. Biocide 7000 has been shown to be effective against Legionella species even at low concentration and high pH levels, although it is not recommended for use as a disinfectant.
